Kohei established her eponymous brand in 2018 in a search for authenticity and progress. Kohei's action on sustainable development is based on values passed down by her family through generations.
"We are responsible for the impact we have on our planet. Our garments are produced in our small atelier in Bali. The men and women who work there are considered family members and work in safe, respectful, and ethical conditions. We use materials from our natural environment and plant dyes as much as possible, producing only on demand to limit material depredation.
The bags in our atelier are made from the cassava plant, and in terms of packaging, we work with extraordinary Balinese women who create hand-made and 100% recycled paper from schools.
Step by step, we are making progress in each stage of our design process.
We wish to leave a positive imprint on the world, and today this mission is more than ever at the heart of our preoccupations.”
